The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been conducting a search operation at the residence of Firhad Hakim, the Municipal Minister of West Bengal. The raid was initiated by the Central Investigation Agency in connection with an alleged case of recruitment corruption. Sources indicate that Firhad Hakim is currently present inside his residence, where several members of the Central Investigation Agency have entered.
Security personnel have cordoned off the area in front of the mayor's house located in Chetla, where a substantial contingent of central forces has been deployed. In response to the CBI's presence, supporters of Firhad Hakim gathered outside his residence and began chanting slogans.
